List of things to carry for your Motorcycle Road Trip
It is always advisable to carry light luggage when you are on a road trip. However, in order to reduce weight, don't miss out on essential things. Here are my list of stuffs which you should carry on your ride.
Puncture Kit
Chances of your bike Tyre getting punctured are very high and it is always advisable to carry puncture kit along with small air pump.
First Aid
Anything can go wrong on your ride. Therefore, it is sensible to carry a first aid kit to help you during your ride
Bungee Cord
It is obvious that you would be carrying luggage tied to your motorbike using bungee chord. But, taking an extra pair of bungee cord is always good.
Extra pair of Hand Gloves
Always take an extra pair of gloves which will keep you comfortable in all climatic conditions.
Eatables
Carry light snacks to munch if you don't find any eatery around. Also, carrying Energy drink and Water is important.
Proper Documents
Make sure you carry proper documents required on your ride which includes, your bike docs, your personal docs, if your are travelling to another country, may be custom docs, visa etc.
Extra Motorcycle stuffs
Carry Engine oil if you are traveling for more than 1500 to 2000 kms. Also, a chain lubricator is must on your rides, irrespective of the distance.
Waterproof bag covers
Waterproof covers will not only keep your bags dry but also protect them from dust.
Protective gears
This is the most important tip. Make sure that you have all protective gears on while your ride which includes, Helmet, Protective Jacket, Riding pant or knee guard and if not riding boots, normal boots would suffice.
Cash
Carry some extra cash which might be helpful if you don't find ATMs on the way of if shops
don't accept cards.
Electronic Items
If you are the one who uses action camera or DSLR, do carry an extension chord as well so that you can charge multiple items at the same time.
